Three or more years. Three years must be specialized. Additional years of experience must be in the general business administration field and encompass the ability to work independently or under general direction

Customer Support

One plus years. One year must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: knowledge of PC operation, network and mail standards, help desk support, information systems development and other work in the client/server, or related fields. The CSS must demonstrate the ability to communicate skillfully in speech and in writing, for they are responsible for collaborating with Technical Architecture Specialists, System Specialists, Programmers and vendors to ensure and enhance the use of products and services. Most importantly, they must identify the customer’s problem, suggest solutions, and/or dispatch the technical expertise to the area with the problem.

Data Modeler

Three plus years of experience that must be specialized in developing and maintaining business process models and relational data models.

Database Administrator

Three to six years. Three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: demonstrated experience using current RDBMS's technologies, application design utilizing various RDBMS, and experience with RDBMS internals. The other 3 years in general RDBMS systems analysis and programming. The administrator must effectively provide work status to the Project Team Lead. They must also engage in, and fully adopt the ongoing process improvement. The DBA must have previously demonstrated the ability to work independently or under general direction.

Internet Specialist/Web Developer

Three plus years. One year must be specialized. Specialized experience includes demonstrated experience using current Internet technologies, and application design utilizing various WEB tools (C++, JAVA, Visual Basic, XML JSP, WebLogic, Vignette). The Web developer must exemplify the ability to work independently or under only general direction.

$80-150/hour

Management Consultant

Fifteen plus years. Ten years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: project management from inception to deployment, expertise in the control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms, and demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity. Additional experience includes: increased responsibilities in information systems management, the ability to serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related issues, and provide the systematic resolution of those issues. Higher degrees of education will require less experience, up to two years per degree.

$100-500/hour

Network Engineer

Two plus years. Two years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: analysis, design, installation of local area networks, analysis and installation of communications systems, use of engineering documentation, network configurations and topologies, and proficiency in X.25, TCP/IP, Frame Relay, Bridges, and Routers. Additional experience includes increasing responsibilities in technical management, knowledge of advanced scripting and programming skills, and languages that run on specified platform. The Network Engineer must anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.

Systems Analyst

One plus years. One year must be specialized in the design and development of IT systems. Responsible for the design and development of IT systems. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements.

Applications Development Analyst

One plus years. One year must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: working closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, the ability to write programs, perform program analysis, and provide skill in unit and system testing, as well as file to file conversions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards.

Project Leader

Two plus years. Two years must be specialized in project management. Specialized experience suggests they must provide technical and analytical project overviews, status reports, user liaisons, project staffing, and system installations rendering acceptance. Manages one or more projects of medium to high complexity. More senior role has responsibility for large, complex, cross-functional or multiple projects with greater impact to the enterprise.

Project Manager

Seven plus years. Seven years must be specialized (seven years industry, four years project management). Specialized experience includes: project management from inception to deployment, expertise in the control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.

$80-165/hour

Quality Engineer/Test Manager

Three plus years. Three years plus must be specialized in quality software engineering. Other specialized experience includes: the ability to provide sound engineering processes, methods for the development and maintenance of testing group organizations, strategy and procedures, management of testing activities, use cases, testing techniques and testing tools. Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing quality assurance and compliance processes for the IT organization.

$70-245/hour

Systems Analyst

Three plus years. Three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes the ability to effectively perform system analysis and design, and system to system conversion and reengineering. The analyst must also exemplify the ability to write system and program specification.

Network Architect

Five plus years. Three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes being well versed in multiple hardware and operating system platforms. Plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture. Approves and modifies network design and architecture to ensure compliance. Configures and maintains routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (including wireless). Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Monitors network performance, ensures capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement.

Network Technician

One plus years. Specifically work experience in infrastructure/network environments. Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems (including wireless). They must be able to effectively perform operating system software upgrades, maintenance, tuning and installation.

Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist

Three plus years. Three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes preparing technical documentation, which is to include researching for applicable Government and industry documentation standards. Translates technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences. Works with Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Support to produce a wide variety of technical
publications.

$70-100/hour

Technical Trainer

Three plus years. Specifically responsible for the creation, and delivery of training and development programs to all levels of end-users and IT professionals. Individual is skilled at providing individual and group (classroom) training. Fundamentally proficient at the development and revision of training materials based on individual system hardware and software design specifications.
