Project Manager w/BI and/or DW

RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Manager (PM) will perform advanced project management work and will serve as lead project manager for Business Intelligence for ProjectONE (ERP). Work involves coordinating and overseeing the initiating, planning, and organizing phases of all projects assigned. PM will coordinate and facilitate project team meetings ensuring that agendas are prepared ahead of time and notes are prepared and distributed afterwards. PM will control and monitor the progress and schedule of assigned projects. PM will communicate both verbally and in writing with various project stakeholders, management, other relevant parties both internal and external to the agency, the project status and risks as well as any outstanding issues and recommendations for resolving those issues which could not be resolved at the project team level. Will plan, assign, and/or coordinate the work of others both internal and external to the agency in a matrix resource environment. PM will coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day project activities for all projects assigned.

PM will develop the detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the reporting aspects of the project. This will include, but not be limited to, creating a detailed task list for the analysis of current reports, approach for moving reports forward, monitoring the fit / gap analysis process, and the migration plan to move the historical data from various legacy systems to a reporting environment which will use Business Objects as the reporting tool. PM will have a strong understanding of Business Objects XI 3.1 to include Crystal 2008 and Xcelsius 2008.

PM will be under limited supervision of the Director of Innovation and Technology with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

MANDATORY SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE or EXPERIENCE
8 years
• Project Management Experience managing a Business Intelligence and/or Data Warehouse project
• Experience facilitating work sessions and gathering requirements.
4 years
• Knowledge of data warehouse reporting environments
• Knowledge of Unit Testing and System Integration testing of applicable changes based on the requirements or applications defects
3 years
• Knowledge of previous versions of Business Objects XI 3.1, including WEBI reports and Universe Design and include Crystal 2008 and Xcelsius 2008
1 year
• Knowledge of Business Objects XI 3.1, including WEBI reports and Universe Design and include Crystal 2008 and Xcelsius 2008
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university

NOTES
