Quality Assurance Analyst (contract-to-hire)
ROLE
As a member of our Client’s team, you’ll be asked to become an expert on their technical requirements and you'll work daily with the staff, consultants and service providers on multiple software projects. Outstanding communication, collaboration and documentation skills are a must. Our Client is looking for someone with the skills to build and maintain teams and who excels at collaborating with others.
Our Client wants to hire you as a full-time member of their team after a 90 day contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and analyze design documents for testability
Test planning based on software design documentation including the development of test plans, test schedules and test scenario development as well as writing test cases, test steps, test procedures and automated scripts
Preparation of test deliverables (requirements mapping, defect reporting, document reviews)
Find, document, and track to resolution issues, defects or bugs that effect software products
Manual test execution (including interface, integration and regression testing)
Assist in User Acceptance Testing
Assist work stream leads in gathering and validating test data
Keep records on a daily basis of work completed and time utilized
MANDATORY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
This position requires a Bachelors degree in a Computer related field
Three years experience with quality assurance and software testing including the development and execution of test cases and test case documentation
Strong knowledge of HP Quality Center, SQL, Windows & experience testing in a .NET environment
Integration testing experience, especially of data feeds to / from multiple technical platforms
Familiarity with current software testing methodologies, (black box, white box and boundary testing) Experience with manual and automated testing
Experience with tools such as: Rational Suite, Mercury Test Director, WinRunner, Loadrunner, etc preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office Tools (Access, Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
Desired SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Experience working on CMMI level 3 or higher certified software development programs
