Child Welfare

Many state, lead and local child welfare agencies are challenged with operating more efficiently and on a tighter budget.

Five Points evaluates these challenges and develops custom child welfare software solutions that meets each organization’s needs.

We can also provide one of our many established solutions already being used around the country. We empower organizations to serve the people in their programs well while staying within budget.

Our Experience

Five Points has been managing data from health and human service data systems for nearly two decades, particularly in child welfare and behavioral health.

Starting with Certified Building Contractors (CBCs) in the State of Florida, we led the charge on receiving data from the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) and worked with CBCs to redesign the way these organizations viewed client data and performed their daily tasks.

This effort gained tremendous momentum in Florida, and, as a result, more CBCs decided to partner with Five Points to develop similar solutions. Now our applications are used across the country, serving employees in all levels of the child welfare system of care.

Our child welfare software is also SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, to ensure your sensitive data is secure.

Our Services

As child welfare organizations evolve, there is a need for software to make processes more efficient.

We take a people-first approach to each of our software solutions, focused on improving the experience of each individual user.

Whether you are looking to develop a custom application or update existing software, we can help you better serve your team and customers. Everything is designed with every user – from program participants to the CEO – in mind.

Our products and services related to child welfare include:

Community Based Resource Information System (CoBRIS)

Federal rules have provided more flexibility to states by changing the State Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWIS) guidelines.

These rules now allow bi-directional data exchanges to support interoperability among state and local systems, as evident by the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Rule.

This change encouraged states to develop modern and innovative systems, eliminate duplicate entries and reduce the maintenance costs of traditional systems.

The current rules, which demonstrate a transition from traditional SACWIS environments to more “open” architectures, allow for easier integration between state and provider data systems. We have the experience to facilitate these efforts, including technical expertise, policy familiarity and political savvy. We are always informed and stay up-to-date on the latest regulations so you don’t have to.

As one of the many products we offer, the Five Points team developed CoBRIS, a custom, case management software solution.
